“One who is wise can go up against the city of the mighty and pull down the stronghold in which they trust.” — Proverbs 21:22 NIV
Wisdom is the principal thing. The more wisdom you have, the easier it is to win wars of life, both mentally and physically. Even the devil knows this. So one of the ways he prevents people from getting access to divine wisdom is to cause them to dangle their urge to attend spiritual gatherings and also prevent them from building a habit of reading and studying spiritual and educational materials, especially the Bible.
Solomon was a king. He knew what it meant to go to war and use the immense godly wisdom he had to win. He says in Proverbs 21:22 that the wise one can go up against the city of the mighty and pull down their stronghold. That means winning wars of life isn’t all about strength. It’s much about wisdom.
If you know what to do when you encounter a problem, how you use your strength and resources to overcome it will be very strategic. Consequently, if you lack wisdom on what to do when facing issues, you’ll surely mess up.
God doesn’t want you to be a loser in the face of life’s issues. He has made you more than a conqueror in Christ (Romans 8:37). However, you’ve got to obtain divine wisdom to manifest this reality in eternal life, which is your possession.
Desire wisdom. Read, study, and pray. The more divine knowledge you have, the less the enemy will use wars like grudges, offences and financial constraints to afflict you.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, help me create avenues and systems in my life that’ll force me to increase in the studying of Your Word and spiritual materials so as to get the wisdom to live more like You each day of my life. Amen!
