Choose to humble yourself before God by casting your care upon him — the care about what you have, don’t have or even need. He’s able to supply all those needs. Only be mindful of fulfilling kingdom assignments. He’ll make people honor you with you demanding it from them.
Submit to one another in the Lord. Nobody is too old or young in Christ to minister to you. Clothe yourself in godly humility and be attentive to the Word of God coming out of the mouths of the brethren.
We are sheep amongst wolves in this world. Therefore, be wise. Don’t exalt yourself. Be humble, and let God exalt you.
The code of humility before God is different from that before people. To humble yourself before God, cast all your care upon Him. However, to humble yourself amongst the brethren, recognize and submit to authority.
God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Choose to humble yourself before God before He humbles you.
It is possible to learn obedience as a Christian. And one of the ways to do it is by enduring suffering.
Don’t be worried about what you don’t have now or when people don’t see the hard work you do. Just serve your way up.
You humble yourself before God by casting all your care (not “cares”) upon Him, not by serving Him.
