When an offence isn’t covered up and heartily forgiven, it develops into quarrels anytime the offender and offended speak about the issue. Drop the matters by addressing them in love and settling disputes amicably using the wisdom of God.
While we cannot prevent ourselves from getting offended, we choose how to go about them when they come. Some choose to forgive when the offender decides to change. Others decide not to even talk about it. But what does the Bible say?
You may have read 1 Peter 4:8 and concluded that love covers a multitude of sins (instead of all sins). Today, I’d like you to know that the Bible also says love covers all sins.
Don’t joke with things that will offend people. Spend time with the Lord. But avoid useless accusations that are a drawback to the move of God upon the people of His presence. Amen!
If you’ll always be mindful of the Lord’s presence, your mind will be preoccupied with spiritual things. In that way, you’ll give no opportunity to the devil to sow condemning thoughts in your mind.
Though the prodigal son messed up, he came back to his senses. Analyse your life in the light of God’s Word, and apply spiritual changes to some things you’re doing that are wrong.

To bring gentle restoration to someone caught in sin, proclaim God’s forgiveness of sins upon his life and comfort him.
It is the responsibility of every servant God to keep his (or her) spiritual fervour. Why?—Because it can be brought low, usually through offences.
