“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” — Ephesians 2:13 NIV
Wherever there’s separation, distance gets created, whether physically or inwardly. When the fall happened in the garden of Eden, it created separation between man and God. God has always wanted to be in fellowship with man. But He hates sin, and that was exactly what men were constantly committing after the fall.
He chose to love the world despite the sins of people. That inspired Him to send Jesus to be the propitiation of our sins (1 John 4:10). Scripture says in Hebrews 9:22 (NKJV), “And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.” That means holy blood was needed to be a sacrifice for the cleansing of humanity’s sins, and Jesus’ blood was and is still enough.
No matter who you are, Jesus’ blood has taken away the sin of the world (John 1:29). That separation of sin between God and man has been taken away. Now, it’s in your hands to accept Jesus without fear of condemnation. Once you do that, you, who is once far away from God, will be brought near by the blood of Christ.
Is there anybody who thinks his sins are too many to be forgiven by the Lord? Tell the person God holds nothing against him. Preach Christ to the unsaved, and help them get saved by Jesus. Lives are too precious to God to prevent them from being saved and transformed by this marvellous Jesus.
You’re a blessing.
