Avoid Useless Accusation

“Do not accuse anyone for no reason — when they have done you no harm.” — Proverbs 3:30 NIV

A useless accusation is an accusation launched on someone else without any root basis. Some people in this world are focused on only creating nasty scenes for innocent people. Such people are division causers and usually sow seeds of discord among people living in harmony. Believers are warned to mark such people in the church and avoid mingling with them (Romans 16:17).

But on the other side, we must also look at how we should avoid accusing people wrongly and needlessly. Sometimes, to create humour, making a joking accusation is good. But if it moves towards creating division among the people of God, then it’s a red flag.

A familiar tool the enemy uses to keep potent people always less productive is a distraction, and useless accusation is a factor.

In as much as we should enjoy having fun with one another as brethren, avoiding things that will draw us back from fulfilling the vision of Jesus is needful.

Don’t joke with things that will offend people. Spend time with the Lord. But avoid useless accusations that are a drawback to the move of God upon the people of His presence. Amen!

You’re a blessing.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, help me discern what’s needful to pay attention to and what’s useless to boycott in my life. Amen!
