[29] “And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” – Galatians 3:29 (NKJV)
When God promised Abraham, He told Him that “… in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3 (NKJV). Now, when you read this as a layman, you may think that every family in the family line of Abraham will partake of this blessing. But is that accurate?
Paul says in Galatians 3:29 that for anybody who is born again and thus in Christ, he’s a seed of Abraham. And because of that identity, that person is an automatic benefactor of God’s promise to Abraham, which is all about blessings. Guess how mighty God has made you to be? But there’s such a powerful truth about revelatory knowledge. It works for those who live in active consciousness of it.
Indeed, you are Abraham’s seed as a Christian. That means when it comes to blessings, it’s your birthright as God’s child. But if you’re struggling to make ends meet, the problem is not from God, what job you do or even how much you earn. The problem is you – how well vested are you in knowing who God has made you?
It’s good to have and listen to pastors and spiritual fathers in Christ. But to be honest, going deeper in your intimacy with God heavily depends on you placing premium attention on it. Knowing God is a prerequisite to helping you to live in the consciousness of God’s blessings upon your life. Don’t toy with your spiritual growth.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for loving me. Now that I know from Your Word (Galatians 3:29) that I am Abraham’s seed, hence an heir of Christ, help me live in the consciousness of Your blessedness upon my life. In Jesus’s name. Amen!
