There Is Power In Waiting On God

“Then those who gladly received his word were baptized and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.” - Acts 2:41 NKJV

Joseph Prince once said that “waiting time is never a wasted time.”
God has fashioned each of His servants for great exploits. But there are times He puts us in waiting periods to teach us essential mysteries about His kingdom. So that in times of manifestation, we don’t mess up. There is power in waiting on God.

Waiting time is never a wasted time.

Joseph Prince

Before Jesus’ last ascension to heaven, He told His disciples to stay in Jerusalem to receive the Spirit upon them for their divine assignments (Acts 1:4-5,8). These disciples weren’t inactive in those waiting periods. They replaced Judas Iscariot, continued in fellowship, and gathered enough disciples so much that by the time the Spirit came, they were about 120 (Acts 1:15).

What does this mean? Waiting time isn’t a time of inactivity. It’s useful for preparation. A student doesn’t sleep throughout the day when he is preparing for an exam the next day. He makes sure he learns very well.

These disciples recorded over 3000 new souls unto the kingdom just because they chose to wait in the upper room to be endued with power. Do you want to start something God has laid upon your heart with speed? If so, then choose to wait upon the Lord to learn and prepare yourself. Debunk thoughts and words from people who despise you in your waiting period. Waiting on the Lord will push you through in preparation for great exploits.

You’re a blessing.
