[6] “But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” – 2 Corinthians 9:6 (NKJV)
Many people say that the quantity of your seed determines the multiplicative effect of your harvest. But what if the seeds sown aren’t viable? They’ll be wasted. Right? God knows this. That is why He encourages us to sow our seed well. But how do you do that?
- By checking your heart before giving
- By giving bountifully from what you have decided.
Do you remember how Jesus praised the widow who gave two copper coins as offertory in the synagogue (see Mark 12:41-44)? He said that that woman had given more than all those who had given to the treasury. But why? Her heart was right with God when she was giving.
Friend, don’t give merely out of obligation to the Lord. Give from a heart of gratitude and according to what you’ve purposed in your heart because God loves a cheerful giver (see 2 Corinthians 8:7). Let nobody manipulate you to give, son of God.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for your grace of giving. Increase my knowledge of kingdom finances by connecting me to the right materials to read. Teach me discipline in managing my finances so that I’ll abound in them for your glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
