Give What You Have Decided in Your Heart

[7] “So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.” – 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NKJV)

Giving in Christendom has become very critical to talk about nowadays. Many Christians don’t like to give, especially in a sacrificial way, not because they don’t have but for uncouth reasons. Some people hate pastors because they feel like they are scammers. But that thought is not true. Even if a preacher duped you, it doesn’t mean every man of God is like that.

The work of the ministry is highly capital-intensive. In simple terms, you cannot do effective ministry without substantial funding. You just can’t do that. Therefore, giving is encouraged from scripture in verses, and that is for every believer.

You must learn to give what you have decided in your heart to give because that is what scripture teaches. That implies that planning your offering and giving to support God’s work is necessary. See, planning won’t make you give grudgingly or out of compulsion. It will make you a cheerful giver in God’s house. Why? Because your money will be organised.

Don’t neglect giving in God’s house. There are several advantages and benefits that come with supporting God’s work. So keep giving, and watch how God transforms your life financially.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, help me plan my giving at Your house. May I never skip giving to support Your work at any ministry I am a part of. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
