“Cease listening to instruction, my son, And you will stray from the words of knowledge.” — Proverbs 19:27 NKJV
Sometimes, when you’re so engrossed in receiving God’s Word daily, you may think I have enough for life. But that’s a lie from the devil.
As long as God’s Word will never pass away, there’s more to learn. And the more we learn, the greater and better it becomes when manifesting eternal life in truth and deeds.
Proverbs 19:27 throws a warning on all of us that ceasing to listen to instruction will automatically make us stray from the words of knowledge.
Yes, sometimes, God’s Word appears declarative. But when the Holy Spirit starts teaching you this Word, it becomes instructional.
You’re not too loaded not to receive more. Keep listening to instruction. Read and study the Bible daily. Study great Christian books that’ll broaden your knowledge.
Remember that God is inexhaustible. There’s always more He has in store for you. Don’t trivialise what you have, nor should you neglect taking more spiritual food consistently. Your path as the righteous person of the Lord will shine brighter each day.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, inspire me to keep listening to instruction sourced from Your Word every time. Let me not trivialise what I’ve received or become lukewarm in studying Your Word. Amen!
