Hypocritical people are usually hard to notice at the onset. Because attitude is like pregnancy, it shows off fully with time. Accept people as Christ accepted you. But distinguish yourself from hypocritical believers who act like sheep on the outside but are actually wolves on the inside.
When electricity is present, many focus on using it. The moment it goes off, the impact is heavily felt. The kingdom of God functions in the same way. It is a matter of power, not mere words. But that power seems invisible and ineffective in a believer’s life until he understands it and learns how to use it effectively.
Paul listed some of the secret sufferings he listed in 1 Corinthians 4. But you may say Paul laboured very hard. Yes, he did, but it cost him a lot. The same can happen to you, especially for those who want to command a higher height of impact in ministry. It takes work to be successful in ministry. So pay the price for it. God is with you!
You may be an employee in a toxic workplace where sin is seen as normal. But can you maintain the integrity of Christ even in that place? Nobody may recognise it when you do something wrong there. But remember that God is watching you. The standard is Jesus, not any man. So live clean before the Lord.
The Bible says in Romans 16:25 that God is able to establish you. In other words, He can give you everything you need to enjoy life to the fullest, having no need, as you focus on fulfilling His vision for your life. And I’m sure that there are several believers, maybe not many, who are living in this realm of life. That can be your case too, dear child of God.
Many differences among ourselves are to help complement one another, not to stir up conflicts. Navigate your relationships with others well.
Today, because of the cleansing power in the blood of Christ, your choice of physical food is not a problem to God, except the one you are fully aware of that is dedicated to idols or the one harmful to your health.
If you constantly analyse what others do, you’ll always find fault. Instead of judging others, why don’t you allow God to let you know the various things that aren’t going on well in your life so you can deal with them?
The hallmark of your life as a believer is godly peace. Why? Because Jesus has given His peace to you (see John 14:27). That means any matter that doesn’t harness the peace of Christ in you shouldn’t get your attention.
You see, we are in the world but not of the world. But because we see what’s in the world more often, it’s crucial to constantly recline and remind ourselves of who we are in Christ, who is able to guide our lives in order.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 doesn’t mean praying 247 every time. Instead, it means be in the mood of prayer always. In other words, keep conversing with God daily as you go about your life activities.
What does 1 Thessalonians 5:16 tell us? It says we should rejoice always. Right? But look critically at the word “rejoice.” It’s a combination of two words: “re” and “joy.” Guess what it means? To consciously walk in joy. That is your responsibility, not God.
