[10] “So then, banish anxiety from your heart and cast off the troubles of your body, for youth and vigor are meaningless.” – Ecclesiastes 11:10 (NIV)
After Solomon had encouraged the youth to follow the ways of their hearts and rejoice in their youth, he added that we should banish anxiety from our hearts and cast off the troubles of our bodies. Think about this.
Do you know that young people battle with anxiety more than older people? Many youngsters face this battle because they have identity crises. Some don’t know what to do with their lives and practically live confused. When this move comes up, they follow suit. That one comes up; they are there too. That is why it is so easy for political figures to get young people’s services than older ones.
The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 11:10 that as a young person, you need to banish anxiety from your heart. In other words, feel free to do whatever you like in those years of your life, only remembering that God will bring you into judgment. So, while you may be struggling to find God’s purpose for your life, stop worrying about the outcomes of certain actions you take today and follow them, being conscious that that action will bring glory to God. Instead of worrying about matters of your life, pray about every action you take. May God help you.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your peace in my life. Help me to banish anxiety from my heart and follow Your will for my life. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
