In Philippians 4:8, Paul enumerates eight characteristics of godly thoughts that should predominate the believer’s mind. Knowing them will help you discern your thoughts well to know which ones are of God, yourself and of the devil.
The Word of God has the power to cleanse your soul from every filth. If Jesus used it to cleanse the disciples (see John 15:3), how much more you?
Make God the primary inspiration of your work, not your salary, wage or compensation.
Instead of taking matters into your own hands and repaying evil with evil, let the Holy Spirit take charge of your thoughts, actions and speech. You’ll live offence-free in Christ.
Dear leader, see growth in people when they show imperfections. You also got trained before reaching that level. Don’t discredit your team. Love them and build them up and create enough space in your organisation for them to learn from the mistakes they’ll commit. They’ll mature.
God knows everyone. He knows how to meet your needs without your struggle. Why don’t you lean on Him to give you the wisdom to handle your situation rather than expecting just any man to help you get what you want?
Beyond the harshness of obeying God’s covenant, there’s a joy because of the everlasting joy God supplies when you obey His ways. Don’t lose hope in the Lord. He is true to His Word. Trust in Him.
Psalm 103:17 tells us that the Lord’s love is with those who fear Him. And that love is from everlasting to everlasting. That implies it’ll never end. So though people die and get forgotten by people, God’s love will continue to benefit those who revere Him in all their ways.
You don’t need the whole world to know that good deed you did for others. No! God will reward your secret labours even if nobody congratulates you.
You cannot work when you’re dead. So give your best wherever you are, knowing that your service is first unto the Lord before man. He is faithful to fulfilling everything He has said concerning your life.
Child of God, you are married to Jesus. And since marriage comes with faithfulness, you only owe allegiance to Jesus – to submit and serve Him with all gladness at heart. All the fruits you’ll ever bear in God’s kingdom are totally dependent on your relationship with Him.
The extent of love God has for you is at its peak, and it’ll never diminish. If you love Him back by becoming submissive to Him in all your ways and obeying His commands, you’ll enjoy His love more.
