When the scripture says live in harmony with one another, God isn’t saying that you’ll not have problems with people. No! He knows you will, including the one you are married to (or will marry in future). He knows you will face problems with colleagues at the workplace, fellow believers in church, and other people from various areas of life. But He is telling you to be wise in how you live with them.
Just as human relationships thrive on devotion and care, our relationship with God flourishes when we prioritise Him in all we do. The question remains—do you love the Lord? If so, let your actions and heart’s posture reflect that love daily.
Dear one, be decent with how you use money. Pay the price to gain financial wisdom, especially from the Bible and Christian business people, and be conscious of your integrity before the Lord.
You are not God’s co-equal. He existed even before the beginning of time. So, if He chastises you, you should take it seriously.
When the devil knows God is up to something great in your life, he works very hard to bombard your life with many bad things just to distract your focus. He knows that if he can get you distracted, he can make you forsake God’s providential way. So, knowing this very well, you have to employ a lot of wisdom and discretion in your walk with God and your relationship with others.
No matter how many people or companies have rejected you, you are not a castaway before God. Your life may not be as good as you want right now. But do not give up on God. There is a set time in God’s calendar to show forth you to the world in ways anyone who rejected you will be ashamed of themselves. Only don’t neglect your spiritual gift. It is well with you.
The Bible implores believers not to be yoked together with unbelievers. In other words, unbelievers shouldn’t form part of our close relationships circle. And the moment this comes into the scene, it means that a believer should never think of marrying an unbeliever because married couples form part of the category of very close relationships. However, the scripture covers all other relationships too.
God’s love is so strong that it has the power to constrain every believer to live right with Him. It is not entirely dependent on us because God is the One who first loved us (see 1 John 4:19). And because of that reality, whether we love Him back or not doesn’t diminish His love for us in any way.
In Romans 8:28, the Bible says that all things work together for good to them that love God and are called according to His purpose. So, if you are born again today and love God genuinely in your heart, then I’m glad to tell you that God has got you covered.
In the season of singleness, you’re not just waiting for love; you’re being built for it—a love built on a shared love for God. So, learn how to pray and fast. When Christ is the foundation, love becomes more than an emotion – it becomes a covenant. Trust God’s timing and let that help you avoid toxic relationships that distract from your personal journey of self-discovery.
Submit to one another as believers. But in your home, dear wife, submit to your own husband, not just any man or another person’s husband. Your husband has authority over your life, not any man.
If you don’t hate your body but love and cherish it, why don’t you love your wife so well that you’ll give her everything she needs, including your body and affection? God knew a time would come when believing husbands may falter in these things. That is why He institutionalised this command in the scriptures.
