Do Not Conform to Your Previous Desires
Sometimes, that desire to go back into those secret sins will come. But hey, when that moment comes, it’s time to pray. Do not let the devil’s evil suggestions overpower you. Submit your ways to God.

Living beyond the dictates of sinful flesh is possible in Christ, and you can do it because of the Spirit of grace in you. But in case you falter, remember your advocate, lest you let the devil plunge you into self-condemnation.
Even though the law of sin works in every unbeliever, one can be set free from sin by God’s deliverance (salvation) through Jesus Christ our Lord. So, if you are saved, you have been set free from sin and its entire consequences. Why? Because Christ Jesus has delivered you from God’s wrath.
Look at the life of anyone who has lived in sin; it never ends well with them. Therefore, be on your guard, submit all your ways to God, and keep Him first place in your life, no matter where you are.
Don’t mix your identity. You were a slave to sin when you weren’t born again. And so now that you believe, concentrate on offering yourself as a living sacrifice to God. Get rid of all moral filth and the sin that easily entangles, and live your life with God in focus.
Avoiding victimisation, whether in health, finances, academics, or spiritual matters, largely depends on your faith, prudence, and commitment to righteousness.
By reason of Jesus’ atonement for the sin of the world, He has taken away that which separated man from God, paving an accessible way for anybody to come closer to God without guilt or condemnation. That was even signalled when the veil in the Jewish temple between the holies and the most holy place was torn into two (see Matthew 27:51).
When the Bible says you were dead in your trespasses and sins, guess what it means? It meant that while you didn’t know God, the consciousness even to convict yourself that the actions you are doing are sinful isn’t even part of your thoughts. That explains why evil is constantly going on in this generation without mercy. Hmm!
Have you not read Titus 2:12, where the Bible tells us that grace teaches us to deny all manner of ungodliness? You have the power to silence every demonic thought suggested by the enemy in your mind to taunt you to do anything God won’t be pleased with.
When God tells you to turn away from sin, He just wants to protect you. It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the Almighty God (see Hebrews 10:31). Live clean before the Lord, whether people are watching you or not. It is for your own good.
Sometimes, when God prevents you from doing certain things, it’s for your own protection, not limitation. Adam and Eve’s case wasn’t different. God wanted their minds to be filled with only what is good, not a mixture of good and evil. And let me tell you that that desire is still in God’s heart for every believer today.
Eve’s continual staring at that forbidden tree watered down her conscience of not eating from it, and she later succumbed to that lust. Don’t let that be your case. You are not supposed to flirt with things God has called you to flee from and think you have enough strength to face that temptation. No! Don’t go near it as much as possible.
