[12] “Ears that hear and eyes that see — the LORD has made them both.” – Proverbs 20:12 (NIV)
One time, I became more curious about knowing more about my body parts. So, I started doing online research in various areas of my body system. To my shock, I saw many parts of my body as male, inwardly and outwardly, that I hadn’t known all my life. After that research, I just bowed down in prayer, thanking God for how special He has made me. I realised it’s worth it for doctors to spend over five years in school learning about the human body.
Later on, I saw that in Proverbs 20:12, it’s written that God made both the hearing ear and seeing eyes. I’ve always known this, but I didn’t pay much attention to it until recently. Sometimes, we get used to what we have so much that we forget to thank the God who made them. And that is really bad. When was the last time you thanked God for how special He made your respiratory system and provided air for you to breathe each day? If you knew how much people spend each day at the hospital to get an oxygen machine in them, you’d thank Him even more.
God will always be God whether men continue doing evil things or not. But for you, don’t join what many people do to dishonour God. Thank God for your body. Thank Him for how special He has made you because you’re fearfully and wonderfully made (see Psalm 139:14). You’re not an ordinary creature. Live in this consciousness. The Lord is with and in you!
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for making me special. Though my outward man perishes by the vicissitudes of this world, my inward man is renewed day by day. Help me to take good care of Your temple. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
