[1] “Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth,
Before the difficult days come,
And the years draw near when you say,
“I have no pleasure in them”: – Ecclesiastes 12:1 (NKJV)
Life is in seasons. Every individual on the face of this Earth has youthful days. And it is those days that one’s physical strength is the highest. Unfortunately, many people abuse their days of being youth, thinking that that season is a season of engaging in youthful lust instead of total dedication to godly service. Interestingly, long before Paul said “flee from youthful lusts” in 2 Timothy 2:22, Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 12:1 that “Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth…”. That means God has always desired us to revere Him from a young age.
No matter how significant divine revelation is, it becomes life to you when you walk in it. It’s not enough to know God says remember Him in your youthful days. You must walk by that revelation. But how? Simply by taking His Word seriously.
When you live with eternity in your consciousness, knowing that your works will be judged by the living God, you’ll not use it to engage in promiscuous acts. Rise up and serve the Lord before difficult days come in your life when the world will squeeze energy from you by its antichristic systems, so much so that very little will be available to do God’s work.
God has already fixed your destiny. But it’s time-bound. If you don’t take Him seriously now and you get old, it’ll be too late to fulfil your ministry in full. Wake up and work purposefully.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, help every person on this Earth in his youthful ages to take You seriously. Help them to remember You and stick to Your godly convictions in this evil age. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
