Let Your Face Shine on Your Servant, God

[16] “Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love.” – Psalms 31:16 (NIV)

Moses spent forty days on the Mountain of Sinai. And when he came down, his face was shining, so much so that he had to cover his face with a veil before he could speak to the people of Israel (see Exodus 34:35). Now, I understand there are several doctrines surrounding this in relation to the Old and New Covenant. But for God’s sake, let’s put that aside for now and talk about how radiating it is to come out of God’s presence.

For leaders in Christ, I know that God increases their spiritual authority when they spend time with Him. And that is why several anointed men of God don’t struggle to get people to assist them to do God’s work. But what about you? It is possible to come out radiating after communing with God for long. Yes, it is! In Moses’ case, he wasn’t aware that his face shone before people. So, you also may not realise how God shines on your face after communing with Him.

You don’t have to pray with the intention that God’s face will shine on you. Just commune with Him. The more you do it, the more Christ-like your life will be. And people will see real holiness in your life like never before, even though it’s scarce in this perverse generation.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, let Your face shine on your servant as I commune with You. Transform my life to become more Christ-like in all my endeavours. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
