[1] I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? [2] My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.” — Psalms 121:1 - 2 NKJV
Have you been through a difficult situation in your life and have no idea where to get help? Maybe it’s a financial issue or academic assistance. Whatever the case is, we can’t always depend on people to help us when we need them the most, although human relationships are very vital in our lives.
David knew this. Despite his kingship authority with limitless ready-to-serve people and vast riches, he got to several points in his life where all those support systems failed him.
Reading Psalm 121:1-2, David lifted up his eyes unto the mountains (signifying issues before him) and immediately recognised that he needed help. But instead of calling people to help him, he said, “My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:2).
Some issues are too private to share with others. But the Lord, who sees what’s in your heart, knows what you’re going through. He hears you when you pray about your issues.
If He has promised never to leave nor forsake you (see Matthew 18:20, Hebrews 13:5), then boycott negative comments from people talking you out of destiny. What is it that you need? He will supply it (see Philippians 4:19). Your wants are in His hands. He’ll keep you from all harm. Fret not because the One who dwells in you has the whole universe in His palms. He’s got you covered.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, my help comes from You today, tomorrow and forever. I choose to dwell in Your secret place for my divine protection and provision. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
