Seize your Moment with Jesus

“Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.” - Mark 10:49-50 NIV

A common difficulty many Christians face is making time to spend alone in God’s presence. We’re so busy attending to several kinds of duties that we forget to spend time alone praying with our Creator. Even though this challenge has persisted in people’s lives for so long, I still believe there are solutions to it as written in scripture.

God understands how busy we are. However, He doesn’t expect us to be distracted anytime we come before Him in prayer. Blind Bartimaeus wasn’t a man who couldn’t follow travelling Jesus everywhere. When Jesus was one time passing by in his town, he seized his moment to cry out aloud with all his strength to reach Jesus. Although crowds were following Jesus, He heard Bartimaeus’ voice.

God is never too busy to neglect the cry of His children.

God is never too busy to neglect the cry of His children. However, you have to be determined never to waste any little time you have the opportunity to be alone with the Father. Just like how Bartimaeus took off his cloak and jumped to his feet with confidence to go before Jesus, lay every crown of pride and hypocrisy when you come before God’s presence because it’ll help you.

You’re a blessing.
