The Lord Will Keep You From All Harm

“The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” — Psalms 121:7 - 8 NIV

Sometimes, people sign up for some endeavours without thinking of the after-effects of their life. Think about fornication. People, especially some ladies, think fornicating before marriage won’t harm their marriages. It’s not true. Once you’ve had sex with someone else other than the one you got married to, you’ll have preferences in sexual satisfaction because of your multiple partners. Unless God steps in and gives you beauty for ashes, this evil will continue.

God, in His own wisdom, decides to keep His children occupied with the work of the ministry; so that they’ll not turn over to youthful lusts. In other words, God gradually loads you with more purpose-related work to do as you follow Him in order for you not to become idle. Why? Because boredom is one step away from harm. Bored people don’t live meaningful lives.

There’s no guarantee that your life will experience smooth progression. There’ll be problems and challenges to face. David himself, who wrote Psalm 121:7-8 faced issues. But he declared to his people, now to you, that “The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life.”

You don’t need to be afraid of what will happen to you as long as you follow the Lord. He’ll keep you from all harm. He’ll watch over your life so well that no CCTV camera or satellite can do it. Trust Him.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer

Oh Lord, thank You for assuring me in Your Word that You’ll keep me from all harm. In the name of Jesus, lead and guide me in the way everlasting. That is my prayer unto you today. Amen!
