“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.” — Jude 1:24 - 25 NKJV
Many Christians battle with the notion that “I don’t want to fall.” That is because of 1 Corinthians 10:12, which says,
“Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.”
Meanwhile, in that verse, Paul was giving the Corinthian church a warning about how they ought to live in conformity to the gospel of Jesus Christ because of their perpetual sins.
You, living by the grace of God that teaches you to say no to ungodliness (Titus 2:12), have every right to be confident in the Lord that you’re standing. And also, you must believe that God will keep you from stumbling (falling). He knows how to take care of you and sustain His grace upon your life.
Don’t fret about your fate in the Lord no matter where you go because God knows you and how to protect you from all evil. Hold on to His Word and live by faith. God won’t fail you.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer
Father, thank You for assuring me in Your Word that you’ll keep me from stumbling. I reject any thought of doubt from the pit of hell trying to make me depend on my own strength and effort to keep Your faith in Me. I remain sustained in Your grace as I carry on my race of faith. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
