Love Does No Harm to a Neighbour

[10] “Love does no harm to a neighbour. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” – Romans 13:10 (NIV)

The Old Testament law is packed with many dos and don’ts that the Israelites were supposed to follow. However, many of them failed to live by such standards because they tried to obey God’s law in their own strength, which is impossible.

The Bible says in Romans 13:10 that love does no harm to a neighbour. So, as God’s beloved, because He, who is love, lives in you, you have divine enablement to live without even thinking of doing anything evil against another person. See, this is what the world lacks. Because of a lack of love in unbelievers, they cannot help but think, plan and execute evil things to harm people.

Dear friend, if you want to live according to God’s ways, forget about using your strength because it will fail you. You need grace powered by God’s love. It’s God’s grace that will teach you to deny all forms of ungodliness (see Titus 2:12). So, go for it. And may the good Lord help you to live a pure life that glorifies His name every day.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your immense love towards me. Help me walk according to Your ways in my relations with others. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
