[10] But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. [11] Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. [12] This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” — Luke 2:10 - 12 NIV

When Jesus was born afresh, television stations didn’t announce His birth, neither radio, social media or traditional word-of-mouth news spread. The Father Himself sent angels to speak to shepherds nearby to come and see Him. That is very mysterious.

Imagine the One in whom all things consist, was created by and for Him (see Colossians 1:16-17), is coming to the world, yet no earthly thing announced His coming. It’s like the king of England visiting your house without any entourage or media personality recognising his coming.

Jesus’ position in heaven as the Son was too high for any earthly thing to announce His coming. That’s why He wasn’t shy to say,

“You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.”

John 8:23 NIV

Beloved, Jesus didn’t come to this Earth for nothing. He came with a purpose – mainly to deal with sin, reconcile man back to God and destroy the works of the devil (see John 1:29, Ephesians 2:16, 1 John 3:8.) Because of this purpose, God sponsored His publicity without Him paying anything to any traditional media house or personnel for it.

Today, many people pay thousands of dollars to tech companies like Meta, Google and Twitter (X), as well as media companies merely to market their products. While it’s not wrong to do that, it shouldn’t become something to worry about as something to do if you want to be successful in your area of purpose.

If God sent angels to announce Jesus’ birth, He might send wealthy people to come and watch you do what He has called you to do. And as you handle your divine mandate with excellence, God will woo people’s hearts to support you – human resource-wise, knowledge-wise and financially. And that will help you to amplify what He called you to do in order to reach the ends of the world.

Your responsibility is to follow God’s plan for your life. And His responsibility is to broadcast your name because of the spread of His kingdom.

Don’t ever think God will not supply what you need to do His work, no matter where you find yourself. He’ll outdo it according to His power at work in you. Believe this word, and live by it.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for the assurance that You’ll give me what I need to do what You called me to do. I trust You for all the provision I need to live purposefully. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
