God Has Not Forgotten About You

[10] “And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:” – Mark 12:10 (KJV)

One of the most referenced scriptures from the Old Testament in the New Testament is Psalm 118:22. Although that scripture is about the Israelites rejecting Christ, whom God has made the captain of humankind’s salvation (see Hebrews 2:9-10), I believe it applies to all believers.

Many believers battle with rejection in families and institutions. They are seen as the black sheep in several places they find themselves, except for church. I also have a fair experience of this. But anytime I see that, I remind myself about what the Bible says in 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV), which says,

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

God has not forgotten about you, even if people have neglected you. He cares for you. Maybe you grew up never to see your parents. But once you have God, know that He can fill that gap of emptiness in your life. What is your struggle? Is it the fear of rejection? Wrap yourself in God’s arms and keep praying. Find comfort in God’s presence instead of wailing about your troubles. He will keep you strong.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, I know that You have not forgotten about me. Show yourself strong in my life, now and forever. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
