“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.” — James 1:2-3 NKJV
Jesus never promised any believer that he’ll have a life devoid of trials. In fact, he said we would have tribulations in this world (John 16:33). But aside from all of the life issues, Jesus encouraged us to be of good cheer because He’s the overcomer of the world.
Some trials are preventable, usually by living according to the standards and principles of the Word of God. But some will happen in our lives because we intentionally fall into them.
In James 1:2, the Bible clearly says “…when (not ‘if’) you fall into various trials…”. So as long as man isn’t all-knowing, he’s bound to fall into life’s trials.
Despite this reality, we always have an option to decide how we react to it. Apostle James didn’t encourage us to cry when we face trials. He said, “… count it all joy when you fall into various trials.” That means the situation may look so bad and can put your joy in Christ off your face for a while. But even in those moments, you must see joy in its happening.
Child of God, you have the anointing of Christ to overcome every situation you face in this world. When you give your heart to life problems, you lose time to be productive. God is ancient, and He knows how to comfort, deliver and empower you to move on. If you continue to follow Him, be rest assured that your path as His righteousness will shine brighter each day.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, help me remain active in your promise that you shall be with me. Don’t let me stay in anguish for long when I face terrible life issues. Empower me to move on and forget my bad history. Amen!
