Calm Down and Speak

[27] “He who has knowledge spares his words, And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.” – Proverbs 17:27 (NKJV)

Quietness is one of the common characteristics of people who are wise. They don’t talk much. To them, silence is golden. Why? Because when they release words, they impact the people who are around and hear them. And if such people are believers in Christ, that’s a heavy plus.

According to the wisest man who ever lived on the surface of this Earth, people who have knowledge spare his words. Furthermore, a man of understanding is of a calm spirit. If I’ve not seen any of such people before, at least I know that my senior pastor, Rev. Justice Osei Kwadwo Agyemang, has exemplified it before me. Wise believers don’t talk much even though they carry a load of wisdom to bless generations.

Decide to be one of such people as a Christian. Give yourself to study, first, the Word and second, great Christian materials. Over time, you’ll be so knowledgeable that you’ll not have to talk too much to make a divine impact on lives.

Calm down and speak, man of God. Many words don’t mean you’re making an impact on your hearers. Deal with people wisely, and let your words be filled with substance.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your knowledge. Fill my mind with more and more wisdom of Your Word that it transforms me as I live for Your glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
