It Is God Who Gives the Power to Get Wealth

[18] “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.” – Deuteronomy 8:18 (NKJV)

Deuteronomy 8:18 is one of the most crucial scriptures every believer who wants to impact many generations through the fulfilment of divine mandate must take note of. Many times, when people read this, they assimilate the first aspect of the scripture and leave the second. But both are connected. It is God who gives the power to get wealth. But that wealth is to enable the receiver to establish His covenant on Earth. So, wealth is necessary if you want God to establish His purposes on Earth through you. Get that right!

God promised Abraham that the promised land was his and his descendants [(the Israelites) see Genesis 17:8]. Now, they were returning from Egypt after 430 years of captivity in it. And even though they had to fight and evict the people in that land, God made them aware that they needed money to build the nation. Today, this principle applies to every prophecy God gives to you.

If He has told you to build a ministry, school, corporation or even a lovely godly family, you don’t only need prayer and wisdom; you need that power to get wealth because money will make it very easy to fulfil some of such prophecies. Dear child of God, don’t believe that Christianity is equal to living in mediocrity; it is not. God wants you to live in abundance so you’ll not have problems fulfilling whatever instruction He tells you to do.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your overflowing grace in my life. Help me make the most efficient use of the resources you give me. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
