Anyone Who Has Been Stealing Must Steal No Longer

[28] “Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.” – Ephesians 4:28 (NIV)

Thievery is one form of sin that has lasted for many years. Unfortunately, with the rise of better technologies, it has become more sophisticated as people steal from the internet daily. But do you know that there are some believers who steal? It may not take the form of a typical thief but can be like a harmless company overspending or slight embezzlement of funds meant for a particular cause. Why do I say this? Paul, who wrote the Epistle to the Ephesian church, cautioned that anyone who had been stealing should steal no longer.

If thievery weren’t going on, he wouldn’t have written that! And this serves as a ministration to every believer out there who thinks God is not watching every little thing they do. I tell you that God is omnipresent. He sees everything you do, even in dark times. So, focus on maintaining good integrity regardless of who is watching you.

I’m also glad to tell you that the way to stop stealing is written in the same scripture. That is, work. When you develop a responsible mindset and attach it to work, you’ll soon realise there’s no need to take what you have not worked for or given freely by others. It is more of a blessing to give than to receive. In other words, it is more fulfilling to work and have enough, so much so that you can give unto others what you have in abundance. Stealing is never good; don’t entertain it in your mind.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for all that You do for me. I pray that I will develop and maintain a responsible mind so that I can work effectively wherever I go. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
