Keep Yourself Pure
As servants of God, we’re ambassadors for Christ wherever we go. Therefore, if people want to see Christ, we’re the ones they should come to. And that requires us to live a highly disciplined life in sync with God’s standards.
Knowing God Devotional is an online daily devotional written by Andrews Baah Kwafo, the president of The Bible Daily Network.
As servants of God, we’re ambassadors for Christ wherever we go. Therefore, if people want to see Christ, we’re the ones they should come to. And that requires us to live a highly disciplined life in sync with God’s standards.
Jesus never gave the disciples a method, strategy or medium to spread the gospel. He just told them to go and make disciples of all nations. That means that for them, and now to us to reach the ends of the world, we have been given the liberty to be creative and innovative.
Fret not because the One who dwells in you has the whole universe in His palms. He’s got you covered.
Avoid substituting what you want to do with what God has told you to do. Submit to the Holy Spirit’s leadership, and you’ll walk in the divine light of life.
God predestined you to conform to the image of Jesus Christ. So the mission of Jesus is your mission. Live by divine assignment; for that’s the key to life’s fulfillment in Christ.
There’s no area of calling too small for the child of God to make an impact. The harvest for the salvation of souls is here and now. Pray and be led by the Lord to work by grace.
What you say when you face a situation affects how you approach it. Let God redefine your situation by seeing it as He sees it, not by what natural people see or say.
Joshua 1:8 (KJV/NKJV) says “… meditate IN the Word,” not “meditate ON the Word.” When you meditate in the Word, you’re focused on getting the intent of the writer (who was led by the Holy Spirit). But meditating ON the Word, you view it with your own understanding, which can lead to wrong scriptural interpretation. Please beware of it!
Jesus is the builder of His church, not you. So with whatever He has called you to do, He is the leader even as you’re the leader of your team or home (I speak to godly married men in this case). And because of that, His work by grace empowerment in you contributes directly to the global building of the Church. So anytime you rebel against Him, you’re veering off His original plan for His worldwide church building; that’s where failure sets in.
God is so generous. He has made the dimension of grace responsible for administering salvation to the lost available to all men.
Aside from all the needs you pray unto Him about, seek God’s will before implementing your decisions.
Nothing in this world can satisfy the spiritual hunger God has deeply fixed in the hearts of men to seek Him (see Ecclesiastes 3:11). That is why God made Jesus the head over all things for you – his church.
