Never think you are too wise to evade taxes. Just be diligent with money. Don’t cheat and cut corners in your finance handling lifestyle. It will do you no good. In fact, it is nice to be a law-abiding believer who isn’t at fault with any government law. You’ll just have your peace to live unto God.
According to Jesus, serving many with what God has given you is what counts for your greatness, not what you have or some money in your account. This boils down to the truth that desiring to be great without having a transactional mindset of helping others will turn that desire into greed and self-gratification, which God doesn’t like. Give glory to God for what you have and will ever get.
Make provisions to avoid distractions during the reception of the Word, especially in church. If it’s your phone you have to put on silent mode, sit closer to the podium, or sit by strangers so you won’t be involved in a conversation, do it. It will help you.
The devil likes using spaces. That is why he gives idle people evil ideas to manipulate their lives. Give no space to the devil. Even if you are enjoying some free time moments, let it honour God. And you can do that so easily when the Word dwells in your heart so richly. Occupy your inner man with God’s substance, dear one, and make no provisions for the flesh.
Once Jesus promises you rest, you can be assured that you will be refreshed within your soul when you come and fellowship in His presence. And this is another reason why no matter how busy you are, you shouldn’t skip going to church, if not at all, at least on Sundays.
Did it ever cross your mind that God is omnipresent? If it didn’t, then reflect on it today. The Bible says in Proverbs 15:3 that the eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good. That means nothing skips the eyes of the Lord.
Dear one, don’t spoil what God has blessed you with by your harsh words. Is it marriage? Learn to speak to your spouse well. Is it your job? Relate well with your colleagues and managers. Check the words you say, with or without the presence of people around you.
The Preacher says in Proverbs 14:34a that righteousness exalts a nation. And when I check the meaning of the word “exalt,” it means upliftment. That means it takes right living before God by individuals in a nation for God to lift that nation to glory.
The second part of Proverbs 13:10 says that wisdom is found in those who take advice. That means when a person is humble enough to listen to what others say, even if it’s a rebuke, that person is wise. So wisdom is not all about what you already know and apply; it is also about adding new learnings to your life from people.
Who is a person of integrity? He’s a person who is faithful in being honest with himself and having strong personal moral principles. Because this is a personal conviction, it takes righteousness to live like that. So, King Solomon was right when he wrote in Proverbs 13:6 that righteousness guards the person of integrity.
Chasing fantasies is one of the most dangerous activities a person can ever do. It’s just like chasing the wind. You will get nowhere with it since the wind blows whichever way it wants.
For the Bible to say that the light of the righteous shines brightly means that your witnessing of Jesus Christ wherever you go is evident unto all. But things become blurry and dim when believers shut up and subscribe to things that lead them to compromise on their faith.
