You Will Be Called ‘Sought After’

[12] “They will be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the LORD; and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted.” – Isaiah 62:12 (NIV)

How does it feel to be a ‘sought-after’ person? Especially for speakers and preachers, it’s quite demanding, right? Why? Because such people get invitations from various places to speak at events and conferences. And because such an industry is quite unpredictable, it’s challenging to manage that lifestyle without being conscious of time management.

The Bible says in Isaiah 62:12 that the children of God will be called ‘Sought after, the city no longer deserted.’ Think about this. During Isaiah’s time, some Israelites were exiled, especially after losing wars to people like the Babylonians. Because of such damages, their cities were deserted. Their lives were not improving because of how harsh living in exile was in those days. But God chose to redeem and restore them. Today, I want you to tell yourself, “No matter how bad things have been in my life, God is up to something great with me.”

If people are disregarding you today, seeing your life as somehow worthless because of bad situations that have plagued you, I just want to tell you that don’t lose hope in God. He will restore you and beautify your life, so much so that people will start celebrating your lifting when the time comes. The race is not for the swift, so others can take the lead. God will also help you rise.
