If you are a servant of God and don’t know God in your secrecy, you’ll not be an accurate minister of the gospel. That goes especially to prophets. Sometimes, the reason why some of them get some prophecies wrong is not because they are fake; it’s just an exposure to a lack of deeper intimacy with the Father. Don’t let that be your case.
When the Bible says in Proverbs 15:29 that God hears the prayer of the righteous, it means that God listens to the born-again who have pure intentions for what they are asking God for.
Gracious words are pure in God’s sight. But why? It’s because He knows such words come from a purified heart and mind. So, the main reason some believers who know God speak graciously and wisely is because of how God’s Word has made their hearts soft, not really because they are good people.
It takes wisdom, not just money, to build many things in life. Solomon knew this. So, when God asked him what he wanted, he didn’t tell God he wanted a long life or honour. Solomon asked for wisdom, got it, and got the other things he didn’t even request (see 2 Chronicles 1:10-12). That means wisdom is essential in life.
One of the most guaranteed ways of succeeding in life is to live upright before the Lord. He will guide your path and make you prosperous as you follow Him. You don’t have to do much to figure out what to do. Just step up in faith and follow God’s leading. He is with you.
It takes a discerning heart to understand the magnitude of the work involved in building anything—be it a house, institution, ministry, or corporation. You need not only passion to succeed in what you do; discernment is also key.
Dear one, there is a charge from scripture (Proverbs 4:23) to keep your heart with all diligence because out of it springs the issues of life. So, you must be intentional about what you allow into your heart through your eyes and ears (the windows of your life).
Can I give you some advice, dear Christian? Balance your plan with your trust in God. Don’t forget to plan, but remember that when God will fulfil those beautiful things you have planned, it will likely not follow your intended schedule. Only don’t give up. He will not put you to shame.
As a pastor reading this, be careful to build a good administrative system that genuinely attends to the welfare of individual congregants. Every single human being is important, so don’t treat people as if they are numbers. But as a person, don’t love quarrel else you’ll keep speaking unwholesome words to people and can even affect their healthy relationship with you.
You are more likely to have your friend stay with you for more extended periods of time than your own sibling. Treat it as normal, and don’t think your siblings don’t love you. They do, but will likely show their best only when bad things happen.
Dear one, let your eyes focus on God’s reward for everything you do. Make excellence your hallmark. Be discerning enough to watch how things will turn up in any new thing you decide to do. And remember, you don’t have to listen to everything people say about the things you do because most of them don’t fully understand the work you do.
God, unlike humans, can be trusted. He is not a God who says one thing and does the other. What He says is what He does, and what He does is what He has said.
