God Still Chooses the Weak Things of the World to Shame the Strong

[26] “Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. [27] But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.” – 1 Corinthians 1:26-27 (NIV)

How does it feel to hold something full of glass? Very delicate. Right? Why? You know that if you don’t take care of it, that thing will break if it falls because the glass isn’t strong. Metals are naturally stronger than glass. So, handling metals doesn’t need a person to be as meticulous as it is for glass. But do you know that God first instituted this principle?

In the Garden of Eden, God carefully created man in the beginning, special among all other creatures. He knew that humans were more delicate than the rest. But in the making of man, He didn’t use hard things like metals. Instead, He used clay. Very weak. Right? But moulding it together has formed the strong human skin you see today. Today, the skin is regarded as the largest organ of the body.

God still chooses the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He is still in the business of making people extremely wealthy with small business ideas that people disregard. And I must say that is one of the reasons why He gives humble beginnings to visionaries. Why? In their formative stages, people will disregard what they carry as God strengthens them to build up gradually until it becomes huge. Don’t give up!

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for choosing the weak things of the world to shame the strong. May I never boast of my strength before You, but keep acknowledging You for Your mighty works in my life. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
