Don’t Have a Wrong View of God’s Character
It is good to understand God’s way of doing things. But the moment you let fear cloud your mind on what you are supposed to do with your gift, it’ll affect your diligence at work.

It is good to understand God’s way of doing things. But the moment you let fear cloud your mind on what you are supposed to do with your gift, it’ll affect your diligence at work.
Just as David did, learn to call upon God in your misery. You don’t have to go out begging people to have mercy on you, especially when you are in financial trouble. No! It is God who convinces men’s hearts to help you. Seek God to bring the helpers rather than go to the helpers to get bounced.
Your pastor, spouse, parents or loved ones may not always be around you to deal with this situation. Some may not understand what you are going through so well. So, the earlier you lean on God, the better. Don’t let how downcast your soul is derail you from utilising the power of God to turn your situation around. Rise and move for change.
The Bible says woe to you who are at ease in Zion (see Amos 6:1). “Zion” in the scripture refers to the spiritual abode of the now-believer in Christ. God is saying it is erroneous to be in His kingdom as a believer and be at ease in your comfort zone.
Life is in seasons. There are seasons of plenty and that of drought. What if you get laid off tomorrow? Do you have any plan in place to sustain you financially until you get a new job? You see, don’t live as if there is no tomorrow. Work diligently, child of God, always having it at the back of your mind that time changes.
While there are laws and court systems in several nations that don’t grant mercy to those who plead guilty for a course, be thus reminded that God’s Word is powerful, and you ought to live by the principles written therein. Have mercy on people and do good to them.
People are more valuable than their actions and gifts. That is why God doesn’t give up on anyone, including you. Why? Because He knows how to transform someone from a dungeon in life to a glorious position to help many others. Instead of paying back evil for evil, do good in response to evil.
Dear one, the first time Jesus stood before a congregation to preach the Word, the Bible says that the people marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. They wondered whether or not it was the same Jesus, Joseph’s son, that they had seen growing up. Can I tell you something profound? When you step up into the fullness of your divine calling, people are going to be more surprised about you.
Today, the same Spirit that quickened Jesus to do all these great and mighty things is upon you. That is why you have every empowerment you need to do many kingdom exploits for the glory of God to impact your generation.
Don’t think what you do in secret isn’t seen by God. No! He has already seen it. If what you are doing is good and gives Him the glory, continue with it. If it is bad, repent and get back on track. Be conscious of your divine mandate because you will ultimately account for it.
Signs and wonders are not to be used as a measuring tool or yardstick to figure out whether a ministry is authentic or not. Why? Because such things don’t save people. They are to follow those who believe (see Mark 16:17).
Don’t go out to preach without divine authority. If you do, you will return with hurts instead of joy because God hasn’t validated you. The ministry isn’t just about holding a microphone or standing before crowds. It is more about delivering oppressed people, which can’t be done without divine authority. Be guided!
