You Can’t Serve Both God and Money

When you work for money instead of purpose, you’re indirectly serving mammon. But when you work for your divine purpose and get money in return for your labour, you’re serving the God who rewards and blesses people to enjoy their riches and give some to others.

Live Out Your Time as a Foreigner on Earth

We’re on earth for a temporary time frame. And in that time, we have divine mandates to fulfil that seek to extend the government of God’s kingdom here. But when we decide to abandon our purposes and mingle ourselves with worldly people, we live in forgetfulness, thinking we came to make a name, fame and a living here. And that’s not supposed to be so.

Be Holy in All You Do

God instructs us through Peter that we must be holy in all we do (1 Peter 1:14-16). But how? By refusing to conform to the evil desires we had when we didn’t know God. And checking our actions to ensure each one carries an element of godliness.

Supervise the Growth of Your Work

God made the world and saw that everything He has done was good. But He still created and appointed man to have dominion over His creation.
Although what God created wasn’t problematic, He needed man to manage and supervise the growth of the work done. Today, it’s like building an organisation and hiring others to manage your systems for you. It’s not new; it’s a principle of scripture.

Put Your Outdoor Work in Order

One of my favourite Bible verses is Proverbs 24:27. In that verse, Solomon teaches that you should put your outdoor work together before building a house. In other words, he was saying, “Ensure your work and vision are well established before building a home.”

Take Refuge Before Danger Strikes

Dear leader, don’t watch your vision go down the drain by ignoring the study of how things work. It’s not good to adjust your work to do what others are doing. However, you can learn from people, get ideas, pray for God to screen them and do the ones He wants you to add to your organisation.

Work When Times Are Both Good and Bad

In Proverbs 20:4, Solomon tells us something interesting about lazy people. He says if you see someone refusing to plow his work environment because it’s winter, that person is a lazy man. So whether you’re in lack, debt, or enjoying riches, you must be determined to work.

Don’t Despise the Presence of Visionary People Before You

Many times, God will bring people into your life that He has ordained to help you for your entire life. And truthfully, you’ll not recognise their calibre of help to be released in your life until you have a foresight of their future. Failure to discern the divine reason behind people’s presence can make you lose them, only to regret it later in your life.

Make Generational Choices

God doesn’t present generational choices in hefty packages. It’s in simple forms. It can be a text, an interview or something little to think about and decide. But if you fail to pray or be decisive on what’s best for God for your life, you’ll miss it and may never get it back. Be wise not to trivialise golden opportunities.
