There are two primary paths in life, each requiring sacrifice. If you sacrifice your life for Jesus by becoming more committed to ministry, you’ll find more relevance in it, plus additional eternal rewards in heaven. But if you run away from ministry and follow after worldliness, you’ll get what you pursued but, ultimately, lose your life to keep them.
If God has blessed you with something, and you are trivialising it so much that you tend to mishandle it, it’s only a matter of time before you start losing it. Don’t treat anything God has given you so lightly.
Guard the Word sown in your heart, whether you receive it via a sermon in church, personal Bible Study or through a ministry media content. If you don’t guard it and you allow other things to distract you, the devil will steal it from you.
Jesus is the resurrection and the life (see John 11:25). He can bring back to life anything people regard as dead and worthless. Is it your life that has become so bad because you messed up with it in worldliness? He can give you beauty for ashes. But when you come to Him, and He tells you what to do, don’t challenge Him or complain like Martha did when Jesus ordered for people to take away the stone that covered the tomb where Lazarus was laid (see John 11:39). Believe in Him, and watch Him do miracles in your life.
No matter how much you think you don’t have, psych your mind to be generous to others by faith. The day you start thinking about others benefiting from you, you’ll see resources come towards your direction.
Do not think nothing will come against you when you are bent on retaining God’s Word in your heart. They will, but as you remember what God taught you, it will be easy to make the right choice anytime you encounter that situation.
Delve into the Word to uncover your inheritance waiting for you. Also, remember that God’s principles were established not merely for your benefit but primarily for God’s glory.
Did it ever cross your mind that God is omnipresent? If it didn’t, then reflect on it today. The Bible says in Proverbs 15:3 that the eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good. That means nothing skips the eyes of the Lord.
If you don’t know how to pray in the quiet moments or at any moment of your life, begin with just calling on the name of the Lord. His name is powerful and can be an anchor to you in various points of need in your life.
The Bible isn’t just a book of rules or stories. It’s a divine revelation that calls for full engagement of the head, mind, and heart. Reading it with your eyes, understanding it with your mind, and receiving it with your heart becomes more than literature; it becomes life. Don’t stop at the surface, whether you’re a lifelong believer or a recent convert. Dive deep.
Seal every part of your life with the work and Word of God. Leave no area unattended. If you are working, be diligent. And if you are married, be a good spouse there, too. Whatever you add to your life, organise it well to oversee every area of it.
God gives each person unique gifts to serve others and bring glory to Him. These gifts are not just special talents but also ways to show love, help people, and make a difference. However, the most important thing is not how big or small your gift is but how you use it to support others and honour God.
