Many more people are coming up with evil ways to indulge people inside. And as believers, what should we do? Refute these demonic ways, right? But how’s that possible if we don’t experience unified growth, both individually and corporately, as believers in Christ?
When you go to church, forget about what’s happening at home. Be intentional about maintaining an undisturbed composure when listening to the Word. Because of a truth, for the spirit of agreement to work amongst those who’ve gathered to worship Jesus, concentration on what God is doing is very necessary.
Give no excuse for not being around in church. And even if you can’t join the service physically due to travel, make the effort to connect to it online. It’ll help you.
For older men in the church, when they do wrong things, it’s inappropriate to rebuke them publicly. Instead, you must call them aside and speak nicely to them about what they did and its effects so that they’ll not do it again. Using that correction method will make them listen because they’ll see you honour and respect them.
Paul says in Ephesians 4:25 that we must put away lying. But why? Because we’re members of one Body – the Church. If even your body can’t lie to you, why should you lie to another Christian?
You may not serve directly in your church. However, become a part of the ongoing building of the global church by seeing and glorifying Jesus in all that you do.
What is a healthy church? You may say it’s a church without a spot or a no-offence church. But what does the Bible say? Titus 2:1-9 speaks of various qualities of a healthy church, which, when summed together, will give us its definition before the face of God.
