God did not call you to add issues to where He helped you get your work. Your addition to that team should bring relief instead of pain. So, when a problem arises, you must have the courage to solve it, rather than turning on an idle attitude.
If you want to greet another believer with a kiss, let that kiss be holy — not mouth to mouth, but one meant to exchange pleasantries. Avoid overstepping your boundaries to do crazy things because of misrepresentation of what the Bible has said.
Make provisions to avoid distractions during the reception of the Word, especially in church. If it’s your phone you have to put on silent mode, sit closer to the podium, or sit by strangers so you won’t be involved in a conversation, do it. It will help you.
God ensures His churches and Christian organisations hold consistent meetings, release resources, like this devotional you are reading, and do more outreach because people have to be spiritually well-fed with sound doctrine.
You have to learn how to clamp down your worry list in your mind, especially when you are with Jesus in prayer or in church. If you don’t do this, busying yourself won’t make you enjoy the Lord, even as a minister doing His work. Before God, devotion unto Him precedes duty for Him, although both are important. Don’t misplace this priority in your life.
Dear one, know that God did not save you to come and sit in the church doing nothing. You are a part of God’s workforce. The Bible says you are His workmanship (see Ephesians 2:10). Refuse to be lazy in ministry!
God loves you and has a special relationship with you. Never limit it to some dos and don’ts you must do to walk in love with Him by your side. Until you hear a vivid instruction from Him to remove your footwear when you are in fellowship with God, don’t do it. He is more concerned about receiving you just as you are than your physical actions to prove to yourself that you’ve come before Him.
Dear man of God, refuse to raise a people who you want to only listen to your sermons. You are not a secluded unit in the body of Christ. You need others. Be your brother’s keeper in Christ. There is no need to tear one another down because of earthly reasons.
From 1 Corinthians 11:6, Paul was not talking about the scarf being used to cover women’s heads. He was speaking about their hair and the consciousness of their submission unto God and their husbands if married.
Since Jesus gave these gifts to men, it’s clear that not everyone in Christ has the same gift. 1 Corinthians 7:7 tells us that each has his own gift in Christ. So, if the gifts are diverse, then each believer’s function in the body of Christ is different. That means that when it comes to ministry, some will represent Christ using their gifts in full-time ministry and others in the lay ministry.
Those who preach the gospel should live off the gospel. It is Biblical for every preacher to be paid by the church, although some don’t take it. Do you know why? Because some sacrifice their lives just to push the gospel forward. However, it is not wrong if a preacher earns a substantial salary from the church.
