“The wise woman builds her house, But the foolish pulls it down with her hands.” — Proverbs 14:1 NKJV
Gone were the days when people regarded women as inferior people whose places were the kitchen of homes. There are several instances in the Bible where women’s names got mentioned as prominent ministers, especially in some Pauline epistles. That tells me that God has a purpose for making women part of our lives. And one of them is what we’re going to look at today.
Proverbs 14:1 tells us that the wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands. So, one of the purposes of women is to build their houses into homes. Yes, you heard me right; build houses into homes.
Notice that the Bible doesn’t say “a wise wife builds her house…”. That means a woman doesn’t necessarily need to be someone’s wife to build her house. Again, she doesn’t need to possess large sums of money in her bank accounts to construct a physical house though she can do it with the strength of God. There’s one principal thing she needs. It’s called divine wisdom.
Proverbs 3:19 (NKJV) says,
The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding He established the heavens;
That means wisdom is paramount to any building, whether physical or organisational.
Listen, woman of God. You really need divine wisdom to build your house. Incorporate godly wisdom into all your daily life responsibilities, especially in taking care of yourself, your husband, boyfriend, father or brother (if any), your children and your room. Let nothing spoil in your hands.
Be filled with the Holy Spirit. Fellowship with the Lord in Word to become spiritually illuminated. Purpose in your heart not to make any person grieve because of your presence. Be submissive and learn. Again I encourage you, “woman, build your house.”
You’re a blessing.
Prayer
Oh God, thank you for anointing me for my purpose as a woman. Let me live in Your consciousness so that I’ll build my house as a wise woman just as your Word says (Proverbs 14:1). I refuse to let anything die in my hands in the name of Jesus. Amen!
