[17] “Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” – Ephesians 5:17 (NKJV)
To understand the will of the Lord is one of the most difficult things many people find doing in life. Some believers can’t even hear God; much more to think about discerning what the Lord is saying so they can follow suit. This is such a tragedy. But it is happening.
Paul told the Ephesian church that they shouldn’t be unwise. Instead, they must be bent on understanding God’s will. Really? That means anybody who doesn’t understand God’s will will likely live a life lacking divine wisdom. And that is a terrible thing to behold. Today, there are many people who live confused because they don’t know what God is saying about their lives. Oh, that men will understand what the will of the Lord is in their generation.
Your mandate is different from mine. It is unique to you. So, you cannot follow and decide to do what I am doing in order to feel relevant. No! It doesn’t work that way. Learn to pray so well that you won’t need another fellow to tell you what God says in your life.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, help me to understand Your ways. Teach me to discern Your will wherever I go. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
