[18] “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” – 1 John 4:18 (NKJV)
Dear one, I want you to ask yourself one rhetorical question? Do you fear your parents or your spouse (that is if you are married)? I don’t think so. But why? It is because you are well assured of their love for you, so you need not fear. Guess what when the Bible says there is no fear in love?
The Father loves you so much that you don’t need to be afraid to draw near Him. Yes, God is sovereign, all-powerful and encompassing God. But His love personality has created the platform for every human being to draw nearer to Him. That is why no matter how bad you think you are, you don’t need to be afraid to come near a loving God willing to open the depth of His love for you.
Fear God by turning away from anything that grieves the Holy Spirit. But revere Him by drawing closer to Him and walking in love towards one another, especially those of the faith. It shall end well with you.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for all You do for me. Help me to walk in Your love that is in my heart every day. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
