The Gospel Is the Power of God that Brings Salvation for Everyone Who Believes

[16] “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” – Romans 1:16 (NKJV)

What comes to mind when you hear about the gospel? Some think it’s all about preaching Jesus to people. But do you know that the gospel is the power of God that brings salvation for everyone who believes? It’s clearly written in Romans 1:16.

God’s Word that we preach to the lost and use to disciple believers in Christ has divine power embedded in it. To the unbeliever, that power is what administers salvation to them through the workings of the Holy Spirit in their hearts as they receive it. So, there’s no believer in Christ today who didn’t encounter God’s power to be saved. You may say, Oh, I just confessed Jesus as my Lord and personal saviour in a usual fashion. But I tell you, the Holy Spirit was much involved in that process.

Today, that power is still functioning and transforming lives on a daily basis. It is exciting to see people getting saved. But the work doesn’t end there. Such souls need to be discipled so they can mature spiritually, of which some may become frontiers of ministry in the near future. If God has not given up on you all these years, then don’t give up on that soul. May the Lord empower you to keep doing His work.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, help me keep reaching out to people with the gospel of Jesus Christ so that more souls will be harvested into Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
