Jesus Is Your Peace

[14] “For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,” – Ephesians 2:14 (NKJV)

Peace is one of the most cherished virtues in every nation. Where there is no peace, there is no progress. Just look at how bad Ukraine has become after the war with Russia. People died, some were missing, and casualties were also on the rise. Conflict is never a way forward for anybody. That explains why, as a person, especially a Christian, don’t hold up people’s grudges in your heart, no matter how badly offended you are. Why? Because you set yourself up for heart issues which could be avoidable.

The scripture says in Ephesians 2:14 that Jesus is your peace. But why? Because He has made both one, breaking down the middle wall of separation. The word “both” refers to God and sinful humans. By reason of Jesus’ atonement for the sin of the world, He has taken away that which separated man from God, paving an accessible way for anybody to come closer to God without guilt or condemnation. That was even signalled when the veil in the Jewish temple between the holies and the most holy place was torn into two (see Matthew 27:51).

Dear one, what is disturbing your mind? What makes you think God won’t accept you because of whatever you have done in past times? Repent of that mindset and draw closer to God today. He holds nothing against you, so don’t think He will reject you. Even Paul, who murdered some believers, was transformed by Jesus. How much more your sin? Come to Jesus today.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for making Your Son my peace. I reaffirm the truth in my life that I have peace because Christ lives in me. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
