In-House Unity

“But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.” - Matthew 12:25 NKJV

Unity is a prerequisite for an exponential increase in impact. Yet, it’s rare in homes, societies, and organizations. Why?— Because many people have become selfish. It’s seen in the manifestation of people’s attitudes, who’re always thinking about how they can benefit from everything they get involved in at the expense of others.

One of the 16 characteristics of love stated in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 is that love is not self-seeking. Any self-seeker in an organization, especially in the church or fellowship, is an enemy of in-house unity. Leaders, do not entertain selfish ideas and suggestions from any of your team members. Correct them and foster in-house unity. Remember how Jesus dealt with the feud that rose among His disciples about who’ll be greatest. He taught them that the greatest should serve (Luke 22:24-27). In other words, service in love and humility expels selfishness in people’s hearts.

Service in love and humility expels selfishness in people’s hearts.

A house divided against itself shall never stand. Could it be your home, business, or ministry has experienced stagnation in growth because there’s disunity in the workforce? Solve that issue now! There are more people we can reach out for Christ if we’ll only learn to put God and His work above our priorities. Have a spiritual transformation about this. Put the ministry, business, and home’s mission above yours, and serve God with grace in your heart. God will reward you.

You’re a blessing.
