[3] “… as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” — Romans 5:21 NKJV
Before a king can reign, he must have a throne and a kingdom. So if the Word says grace reigns through righteousness (Romans 5:21), then grace has a throne (Hebrews 4:16) and a kingdom.
Jesus is the person of grace and truth (John 1:14). He has a kingdom consisting of all those who’ve been delivered from the power of darkness (Colossians 1:13) – that is, all the children of God. He’s the head of the body – the Church (Ephesians 5:23), which means He’s the King of kings because each believer is a king and priest in the Lord (1 Peter 2:9, Revelation 5:10).
For Christ to reign through righteousness means all His plans for your life are for your right living. And since Christ is in you, you’re in a realm of good works (Ephesians 2:10). Hence, you administer divine benevolence to people in your life. That shouldn’t be burdensome to you because it’s a flow from within.
You’re saved and delivered from the realm where sin reigned in your life. Now, you’re alive in Christ. Present yourself unto God as active in Christ. He will transform your life and help you become more and more like who He created you to be.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer
Father, thank You for life. I know that according to Your Word, grace reigns through righteousness. As You are in me, empower me to administer goodness to people, both the deserving and undeserving, without partiality. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
