[2] “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.” – Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV)
I remember the first day I got to the university as a student. No parent accompanied me to school, even though it was my first time. I went through a lot of struggle that day. But after some time, when I got acquainted with the environment, even before meeting a loving Christian brethren, I got enough time to study my Bible every single day. When all people left me alone, God was and is still with me. Today, as at the time of this writing, I’ve graduated and left campus. What am I saying? God never leaves us when the seasons in our lives change, whether good or bad.
Isaiah 43:2 gives a nice picture of what I’m saying today. It says that when you pass through the waters, meaning difficulties, God will be with you. And when you pass through the rivers, meaning hefty issues that have killed people, those situations won’t override His presence of peace in your life. And in the fire too, you shall not be burned. All these means that God will always be with you, even in the most difficult situations.
Maybe you’re going through hell as you’re reading this now. I pray for the anointing to go through it in the name of Jesus. Be strengthened in your inner man to do what God has called you to do.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
God, thank You for promising me that You’ll always be with me when times are both good and bad. Help me to live in the consciousness of Your truth in Your presence. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
