[14] “Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evildoers. [15] Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way.” – Proverbs 4:14-15 (NIV)
We live in a densely populated world where both good and bad people are co-existing in several places together. Today, some thieves even come to church not to receive salvation and be transformed by the power of Christ but to steal people’s possessions. It’s evident that this world has become somehow more dangerous than safe. But as a way of God advising His children, He said, through the writing of Solomon, the preacher, that we shouldn’t walk in the way of evildoers. That means a lot.
#1 You are responsible for checking the kind of friends you mingle with in your life. Since bad company corrupts good manners (see 1 Corinthians 15:33), it’s possible for a person, even a child of God, to be wrongly influenced by the bad people he surrounds himself with.
#2. Let believers, not unbelievers, be in your inner life’s cycle. When more Christians who love you and know how to help you pursue a deeper intimacy with God are in your life, you have a good support system to help you walk on the godly path in Christ.
Dear one, do not set foot on the path of the wicked. Ensure that you screen every suggestion or idea from people before buying into it. Some of them may be nice on paper but have wicked intentions on it. May the Lord help you.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, help me walk on my divine path well. May I not be influenced negatively by wicked people. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
