[8] “This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.” – Titus 3:8 (NKJV)
In life, I have realised that consistency is one thing many people struggle with. Many start something well but don’t continue doing it, and with neglect, it turns out bad over time. For you to be consistent in doing something well, you must be devoted to it. Paul knew this. So, he said in Titus 3:8 that believers should be careful to maintain good works.
Dear child of God, you must devote yourself to doing what is good. That devotion can be so powerful in your life that it will help you guard your integrity before God no matter where you go on the face of this Earth. In some places, committing sins is way easy. And, as a Christian, you will encounter such instances many times in your life–where opportunities to sin without being caught will become plenty, especially when you are alone. That is when your integrity will be tested to the brim.
God is always with you. He will never leave nor forsake you. Get that right! So, whether in public or in your closet, He is right there with you. Do what is good, whether a man is checking up on you or not, because, at the end of the day, you will give an account of your life to God, not man.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your love and affection in my life. Help me devote myself to doing what is good always, with or without physical supervisors over my life, because I know You are with me. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
