“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” — II Timothy 4:3 - 4 NKJV
One prevalent attitude that people will have during the last days is their intolerance against accepting what’s truth while exalting lies. Today, it has become easy for people to believe lies rather than the Truth of God’s Word. Many people are indirectly drifting from the gospel of Jesus Christ by listening to false teachings online. I understand advancements in technology is good. But what you use technology to do is up to you.
I know some Christians who listen to sound doctrine from great preachers, and their lives have been transformed massively. I’ve also seen one person denying the faith because of a false doctrine he listened to. Things happen, but where is your stand?
The gospel of Christ is so powerful and unique that Paul said in Galatians 1:8 that anybody, including himself, who preaches a different gospel is accursed. Check what and who you’re listening to.
We live in an ever-advancing world of technology. So it’s difficult for even spouses to check what each other is doing online that may harm themselves or their union. Accept that others won’t monitor you as detailed as they may be. So make sure you stay committed to the gospel of Christ without wavering. Guard your eyes against profanity and unprofitable teachings online for the sake of your own safety.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive grace to stay committed to the Truth of Your Word wherever I find myself. Reveal Yourself to me in a way that not even a close believer’s apostasy will affect my relationship with You. Amen!
