In 1 John 5:16, the Bible tells us that if you, as a believer, see your brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray about it so that God will give the person life. In other words, as long as that fellow still has physical life after he sinned, God can restore that fractured part of the person’s life for His glory, but by your prayer.
The body of Christ is not made of perfect people. But because of the love of God dwelling in each believer, you cannot but love people. Dear one, it doesn’t matter who has offended you or made a scandal of you in church. Forgive such a person because of your love for Jesus and live in harmony.
No matter how big the vision God has given you, it will take work, not just prayer, to reach that height of kingdom influence. Aside from all the prayers you sow into the work God has entrusted into your care, do not forget to labour effectively. Go for wisdom. Research things you don’t understand that are related to your calling, so that you’ll not be bankrupt of the intellectual property you need to soar higher in the realm of kingdom influence.
If God has called you, don’t think or say people will accept your ministry right on the go. No! It doesn’t work like that. You must labour to please the Lord by faithfully doing what He has called you to do, and then you’ll see progress in your calling.
God is a Spirit (see John 4:24), meaning He doesn’t give material possessions when He blesses. No! He gives you that dimension of the Holy Spirit’s power that makes resources gravitate towards your direction when you step out. So, if you lack something in life, your problem may not be money but a lack of divine revelation.
The Bible says wives must be submissive to their own husbands. And that command has no conditions attached to it. In this case, whether your husband is good or bad, once you are a Christian wife to him, you must submit to him. That is simple!
Be watchful over your life. Focus on pleasing God, not men. Whatever you do, people will talk. So, if you really want to walk in obedience to God, accept the truth that your actions will not please everyone. Even Jesus’ actions didn’t please everyone.
Being conscious of this truth, Peter clearly said in 1 Peter 2:11 that we should abstain from sinful desires that wage war in our souls. Why? Because we are foreigners on Earth, not permanent inhabitants. That means that every sinful desire that wages war in your soul is a signal from the devil that is geared towards making you settle your mind on earthly things rather than setting your affection on things above.
Can you be rest assured that your eternal Father is ready to embrace you? His mark is on your life because His Spirit lives in you. Therefore, from today, pursue a deeper intimacy with Him. Let your life radiate His glory wherever you go.
God is not a respecter of persons. He has children and loves each one of us uniquely. So, even though some believers are more spiritually mature than others, it doesn’t mean He allows certain people to go scot-free if such people breach His principles.
You have been born again with the imperishable seed of God’s Word. So, guess what? Your life is not subject to corruption once you are in Christ. Get this understanding firmly in your spirit that no matter what happens to you in life, God is up to making your life get better and better, not worse.
Sometimes, that desire to go back into those secret sins will come. But hey, when that moment comes, it’s time to pray. Do not let the devil’s evil suggestions overpower you. Submit your ways to God.
